VIDEO: Stampin' Up! Zoo Crew Pop-Up Z Fold Card & Slider Card + 10 Zany Zoo Bonus Project Ideas

There's only two weeks left to get your Last Chance Favorites before they are gone and I am realizing there are a lot of projects that I never shared when I first created them! The Zoo Crew Suite was one of the my favorite in the 2023-2024 Annual Catalog. I love the whimsical animals in the designer paper and coordinating Zany Zoo stamp set to create cards for all ages!

We featured the Zoo Crew Suite in an episode of Sunday Stamping with Susan & Julie last summer -- with a special guest -- my daughter Claire! Here are the cards that Claire and I designed for the video.

This simple Z Fold Card has "box" of cardstock attached to the second fold to create a pop-up piece. It's an easy customization to give your card a fun extra layer! Watch the video tutorial below for tips on how to attach it.

Z Fold Pop-Up Card Measurements

• 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" Flirty Flamingo Cardstock, scored at 2-1/8" & 4-1/4"
• 2-1/2" x 3" Basic White Cardstock, scored at 3/4", 1-1/2", 2-1/4"
• 3" x 4-1/4" Basic Black
• (2) 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" Basic White

When Claire saw the fox on a scooter in the Zoo Crew designer paper, she envisioned a card in which the fox drove across the card front. I helped her make that vision a reality with a simple slider mechanism and the Let's Go Shopping storefronts stamped in the background.

She created two versions of the card -- prefering the purple version over the original Pool Party version. For the purple one, Claire colored over the designer paper with Gorgeous Grape Stampin' Blends.

7 Stampin' Up! Timeless Arrangements Card Ideas + Video Tutorials

I'm surprised at the number of stamp sets and dies that are being discontinued after only one year in the Annual Catalog. One in particular that has me stratching my head is the Timeless Arrangements stamp set and dies. This is such a versatile stamp set with lots of greetings and images and die cuts tha tcan be combined to make beautiful projects for any occasion. Here are some ideas to inspire you! Make sure to get this stamp set and dies while supplies last until April 30!

The first time I used this bundle was on a trip to the Stampin' Up! Home Office last spring. I got to meet Concept Rebecca Fellows who designed the project we got to stamp with Sara & Shelli. She created at alternative project using the negative cardstock piece she used from die cutting the sentiments.

We used Blending Brushes to spread color (from top to bottom: Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Pool Party, and Petal Pink) on Basic White cardstock. We spritzed the dot stamp with water and stamped over the blending ink for a unique effect before embellishing with the die cut sentiments.

For the alternative project, Rebecca embossed the dots using white embossing powder on Very Vanilla cardstock. She added a piece of the Delightfully Eclectic Designer Paper behind the negative space to bring in some color. Adding that panel to the card with Stampin' Dimensionals allows room for the twine tied around it.

I was inspired by Rebecca's other project and used the negative piece of my cardstock to create my own card using colors from the Countryside Inn Designer Paper. I embossed the white cardstock using the 3D Basics Embossing Folders and added some vellum die cuts along with the stamped image.
